Pierre d'Aubusson
Pierre d'Aubusson (1423-1503), Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes; Rilke follows the older tradition that named him the patron at whose will the tapestries 'which praise everything and betray nothing' were woven (modern scholarship assigns them to the Le Viste).

Pierre d'Aubusson (1423-1503), Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes; Rilke follows the older attribution making him the patron of the tapestries (now credited to the Le Viste, whose three-crescent arms they bear). Both line and name, he says, are now wholly gone by.
